THE PROBLEM
A PCR-based testing lab runs the same assays hundreds of times a day, which is exactly why small friction compounds. Plate setup by hand, Ct values transcribed from the instrument, a spreadsheet to decide who reviews what, and a report template that someone rebuilds every time a new test launches, all of which can introduce errors and stall turnaround time.
Legacy systems handle the happy path and fall apart on the exceptions: a failed control, an indeterminate that needs repeat, a positive that needs reflex testing. Those decisions end up in email and memory, and the audit trail is whatever someone remembers to document.
Labbit builds the assay logic into the PCR workflow. Controls evaluate automatically, repeats and reflex tests route without anyone deciding by hand, and every result carries its instrument run, reagent lot, and reviewer with it, so the record an auditor asks for already exists. That’s why molecular diagnostics labs like Veracyte and BillionToOne run on Labbit because the exceptions that used to live in email and memory now live in the system of record.
PRE-CONFIGURED WORKFLOWS
Built visually in BPMN, adapted to your lab, and changed without a vendor release.
Instruments and platforms

Which PCR instruments does Labbit integrate with?
Applied Biosystems QuantStudio, Bio-Rad CFX, Bio-Rad QX200 and QX600 digital PCR, and Thermo Absolute Q. Run files and results come back to the sample record without transcription.
How does Labbit handle failed controls and repeats?
Control evaluation is part of the workflow, not a manual check. A failed control blocks the run, flags affected samples, and routes them to repeat with the reason captured. Reflex testing triggers on result criteria you define.
Can we launch a new assay without a development project?
Yes. Assays are configured visually in BPMN. New tests go live as configuration changes, typically in days, and every change is versioned so you know which samples ran on which version.
Is Labbit built for CLIA and CAP compliance?
Yes. 21 CFR Part 11 electronic records and signatures, role-based sign-off, and a complete audit trail from accession to reported result.
