Spatial and multi-omics LIMS for complex genealogy
Single-cell, spatial transcriptomics, and multi-omic assays where one sample becomes hundreds of derived entities that all have to stay connected.
THE PROBLEM
Spatial and single-cell assays break the sample-in, result-out model. One tissue section becomes a slide, regions of interest, barcoded libraries, and a data set that ties back to spatial coordinates. Standard LIMS were built for a flat sample list and cannot hold that shape.
The platforms are new and the protocols change every quarter. Labs running Xenium or GeoMx are configuring the workflow themselves because no vendor has a fixed template, and a LIMS that needs a developer for every change is a LIMS that gets bypassed.
Labbit's graph model holds arbitrary genealogy natively: section, slide, ROI, library, run, each linked to its parent. Workflows are configured visually so the lab adapts them as protocols evolve. This is the category where a graph-native LIMS is a necessity, not a nice-to-have.
PRE-CONFIGURED WORKFLOWS
Built visually in BPMN, adapted to your lab, and changed without a vendor release.
Instruments and platforms

Which spatial platforms does Labbit support?
10x Genomics Chromium, Visium, and Xenium, NanoString GeoMx and CosMx, and Akoya PhenoCycler are pre-configured, with slide imaging integration.
How does Labbit track one sample becoming many derived entities?
Every derived entity, from slide to ROI to library, is a node in the graph with a parent link. Genealogy is stored, not reconstructed, and queried instantly.
Can we change the workflow as our protocol evolves?
Yes. Workflows are configured visually in BPMN, so protocol changes are configuration updates the lab controls rather than development tickets.
Does Labbit connect spatial data to sequencing?
Yes. Spatial libraries route into NGS workflows on Illumina sequencers with the full spatial genealogy attached.
