Upstream bioprocessing software from vial thaw to harvest
Cell bank genealogy, seed train, bioreactor execution, fed-batch and perfusion control, in-process analytics, and harvest, with online data captured against the batch.
THE PROBLEM
Upstream is a chain of transfers, each with criteria that have to be met before the next step starts. Vial thaw, shake flask, rocking bag, N-1, production. The batch record has to show that every transfer criterion was checked, and most of that is a paper form at the bioreactor.
The bioreactor knows everything, DO, pH, temperature, feed events, and the batch record knows almost none of it. In-process samples go to the ViCell and the Cedex and the results come back on a printout, disconnected from the run that produced them.
Labbit enforces stage-gate criteria at every transfer, captures online bioreactor parameters against the batch, integrates cell counters and metabolite analyzers for direct in-process result capture, and tracks cumulative feed genealogy through fed-batch and perfusion.

Instruments and platforms

Does Labbit capture online bioreactor parameters?
Yes. DO, pH, temperature, and feed events from Sartorius, Thermo, and Eppendorf systems capture against the batch with deviation-on-excursion.
Are cell counters and metabolite analyzers integrated?
Yes. Beckman ViCell BLU, Roche Cedex Bio HT, and Radiometer ABL90 results capture directly into the batch record.
How does Labbit handle seed train stage gates?
Transfer criteria are enforced at each stage. A stage cannot proceed until its criteria are met and recorded.
Is microbial fermentation supported alongside mammalian culture?
Yes. Microbial workflows with induction timing and OD-based stage gates are pre-configured.
