Histopathology LIMS from block to slide to result

Track specimens through grossing, processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining with full block and slide genealogy, then route straight into molecular testing.

THE PROBLEM

Where legacy LIMS break down

A histology specimen turns into blocks, blocks turn into slides, slides get stained on three different platforms, and somewhere in that chain a label gets handwritten. The genealogy from specimen to slide is what matters, and most labs cannot show it without walking the bench.

The pressure comes from molecular. FFPE blocks feed NGS and PCR testing, which means the histology record has to connect to the molecular record, and in most labs those are two systems that do not talk.

Labbit tracks every block and slide as an entity with a parent, so genealogy is a query rather than a reconstruction, and stainer integrations capture protocol and lot automatically at every slide. Because histology and molecular workflows live in the same graph, an FFPE block routes into a sequencing workflow without leaving the system.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Labbit integrate with Leica BOND and Ventana stainers?

+
-

Yes. Stainer integrations capture protocol, reagent lot, and run details per slide. Agilent Autostainer and automated special stainers are also supported.

Can Labbit connect histology to molecular testing?

+
-

Yes. An FFPE block routes directly into an NGS or PCR workflow with its full processing history attached. Histology and molecular share one record.

How does Labbit handle block and slide genealogy?

+
-

Every block and slide is an entity with a parent link. Specimen to block to slide lineage is stored in the graph and queried instantly, including for recuts and additional levels.

Is whole-slide imaging supported?

+
-

Yes. Whole-slide scanner integration attaches image references to the slide record so digital review sits alongside the processing history.
